“Magellan is proud to support the Northwestern Brain Tumor Institute in its quest to find improved treatments and eventually a cure for brain cancer,” said Loewenberg Berger. “This race is a wonderful way to commemorate Brain Tumor Awareness Month and help educate the public about this disease.”
Physicians, nurses, and other NBTI staff took park in the day’s event, as well as a number of patients and family members who ran in honor of their loved ones. NBTI co-directors James Chandler, MD, surgical director of neuro-oncology, and Jeffrey Raizer, MD, medical director of neuro-oncology, both completed the 10K race.
